Glebe Way Speed Camera

Are people are aware of the issue of the removal of the speed camera towards the top of Glebe Way?

There was an accident there back around September time where someone crashed into the camera and it had to be removed, TfL have yet to replaced it.

As a result it has become, what was already quite a hazardous crossing, an almost impossible crossing as cars come up at speed without a camera to slow them. Children going to Hawes Down and Langley schools were already struggling to cross, particularly since there is no initiative to instate a crossing patrol person. It is now an extremely dangerous stretch of road to cross. As residents may be aware, the camera was originally installed years ago due to the fatality involving a school child crossing at that point.

A while ago TfL was asked by a concerned resident if the camera would be reinstalled, they wrote back to say it would. However, six months on there is still no sign of its reinstatement. TfL have been emailed again and a vague reply was received saying they will look into what action is going to be taken.

Can anyone advise on ways to put pressure on TFL to make sure this camera is reinstalled, or alternatively offer some sort of crossing or road calming measure for that part of Glebe Way?

Any further information in regards to this matter would be greatly appreciated.
